Calendar of events in Omis

Gata is the centre of ancient Republic of Poljica and birthplace of the last Great Duke Ivan Čović. They are situated just in the hinterland of Omiš and have many old churches built on various locations with beautiful views. Parish church of St. Ciprian is a preserved culture monument, just beside it is a Museum of Poljica and statue of glagolitic priest and 12 treated stones presenting small districts of Poljica. Local organization KUU ''Mosor'' Gata with the help of inhabitants arranged cultural summer that lasts for 6 days.
